John Borowski...a pure visionary...filmmaker with a vision
From concept to research, script to screen, Borowski has employed his talent in the wide spectrum of narrative and documentary filmmaking as Producer, Writer, and Director. The groundbreaking documentary on H.H. Holmes marks the debut as a feature-length film director for this Columbia College Chicago alumni. Recently, his short film, Urban Armor, earned praise from the independent film community.

Additionally, Borowski has collaborated with and sponsored fellow artists in the filmmaking community. Borowski’s film production company, Waterfront Productions, has been a sponsor of The Chicago Short Comedy Video and Film Festival for five years by editing each headlining film.

 

Music

Douglas Romayne Stevens

 Douglas Romayne Stevens, also credited as Douglas Romayne, earned his undergrad degree in music composition and studied advanced orchestration and jazz arranging with Cliff Colnot, CSO new music director. Douglas attended the USC Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television advanced degree program, graduated with the BMI Film Scoring Scholarship, and went to work with fellow USC alum, Christophe Beck. Professional credits include scoring episodes from season seven of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and additional music for The Skulls 3 as well as seasons four and five of Angel:The Series. He is currently scoring the second season of Duck Dodgers.


Ken Melville for Indie Film Composers

In 2002, Ken Melville was awarded an Emmy, executive producer of music, for the six-part documentary series Waasa Inaabidaa-We Look In All Directions. Mr. Melville is also an Emmy-award winning film composer whose scores and concert works have been performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and the Kronos Quartet.
